Alex Jainchill is a New York-based lighting designer.

Recent designs have been featured at The Metropolitan Opera, Seattle Opera, Playwrights Horizons, Manhattan Class Company, Williamstown Theatre Festival, The Geffen Playhouse, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Arena Stage, and Cleveland Playhouse.

He has been the Associate LD on two Broadway shows Old Times (American Airlines) and Significant Other (Booth). He was also the Associate LD on the World Premiere of Dear Evan Hansen.

He is a faculty member at Syracuse University where he teaches Lighting Design.
